Shoes, shoes, and more shoes!

So I didn’t end up getting the gorgeous sparkly lambskin peeptoes – sadly, I have really long toes so they looked awful on my feet.  But at least I got the obsession out of my system.  You definitely shouldn’t feel sorry for me – I ended up getting all these shoes to compensate for the one pair I didn’t get!

There’s actually another pair of flats that I forgot to include in this picture.  I bought all six pairs of shoes within a 24 hour period.  Yes, I’m that nutty – but in my defense, the following three pairs were only $9 each!  They’re actually only $6 in the underground metro mall at Taipei Main Station, which I didn’t discover until I had already bought 3 pairs.

My fashionista friend T is actually the one who took me shopping for flats in Taipei.  She’s a big fan of name brand shoes (her collection of Manolos and Louboutins is to die for) but she also loves the cheap, fashionable shoes in Taipei.  These flats are super cute and comfortable – it’s so hard to find cute, comfortable, AND affordable flats in the US!  Most of the time, flats make my feet look ginormously clunky even though I’m only a size 7.5, which is pretty average for my height but these adorable flats manage to fit me nicely.  At this price, I definitely don’t expect high quality, long lasting shoes but I’ll definitely have enough trendy shoes to last me through the season. :D

These are a few of the more normally priced shoes that I bought at Sogo, a popular Japanese department store that I’ve seen all around the world.  The prices there are pretty comparable to the prices here in US department stores but the designs are different (and adorable, in my opinion) and the shoes are sooo much more comfortable!  Maybe Asian feet are just shaped differently?  I definitely expect these to last longer than a season.

I’m so sad to be back!  It’s 1AM right now but I’m feeling wide awake so I will definitely be blogging some more later tonight.  Hope you all had an awesome New Year!!
